Tiger's Nest was built in 1988-89 as a 9-edged course building of 246 m². In 2009, the center expanded to double area containing a new meditation hall, the Dew Drop Room of 121 m² and a big kitchen and dining room. In 2010 a fyrhus of 42 m² was built. The Center is now heated entirely with renewable and sustainable energy sources in the form of wood burning and 30 m² solar panels. This has established a CO2 neutral energy system to replace the original natural gas plants and thus saving the atmosphere for an annual emission of 12 tonnes of CO2 from the Tiger's Nest.
